Field Day @ School

SES had their annual Field Day.  PTO also rented several water slides and jump houses as they had promised the students for selling PTO raffle tickets.  The students had a wonderful time.  Some of the high schoolers helped with the stations which was a wonderful idea.  These children admire those big kids and everything worked out great!One of my parents,  Raquel is always very gracious and either offers to watch my kiddos while I go snap some pictures of Lyndon or she will snap pictures for me.  I really appreciate all that she has done for me this year!The students had an obstacle course, water balloon toss, tug of war, Popsicles, 3 legged race, leap frog, and a water station.ALL boy!

Auction Table

Here is my 1st paint gun project...  I redid this table to donate for an auction benefiting a coworker of mine whose son has had numerous care flights to Cook's Children's Center this year due to two different accidents.  He is now doing great.  Prayers are answered!Here is the before-as you can see it needed help!As I worked on it I kept telling Cody I really want to paint it white and keep it! :-)My table turned out to be a hit with several bids placed.  The bid winner was my 3rd Grade teacher!  I remember how much I loved her in 3rd grade!I had a lot of fun redoing this little side table.  My next project is the dresser I use as a buffet table that was my dad's in his bachelor days.  It has been redone several times, but needs a facelift once again! & I also have about 8 ga-millon other things!

Mother's Day

For Mother's Day we began our day together at church and then headed to the Wichita Club to enjoy brunch with Mimi & PawPaw, Momma & Daddy, and Lee and Jackie.  We had a wonderful time and the food was delicious.  

The 3 of us then left to run a few errands before heading home.  One errand including the picking out of my Mother's Day present.  I have been wanting a paint spray gun and a small compressor for DIY projects.  I also have wanted a nail gun and it turned out their was a great special on a things and the compressor came with several nail/brad guns in a package deal!  Who would have thought they would have a Mother's Day special on tools...  I was very excited and once we changed clothes I was out in the shop with my new toys!Cody and Lyndon do a wonderful and sweet job of spoiling me on Mother's Day with lots of acts of kindness.

Mother's & Father's Day @ School

The 1st Grade teachers at SES put on a fabulous Mother's/Father's Day program each year.  The students learn songs, make crafts, and make the event wonderful!The program begins with the students singing to us.  The teachers also have the stage decorated.Here Lyndon is at the welcome bench.The students draw a picture of their parents and write about them.  I already packed Lyndon's in his 1st grade box and it is in storage, but I will get it down and add his comments.  They were very sweet and comical!Lyndon & Daddy.Lyndon & Mimi!Lyndon & Memere.The 3 of us.Lyndon & Momma.Lyndon, Pop Pops, & Pow Pow.We then ate lunch with Lyndon.  Or actually he ate while we all visited with each other.

The program was wonderful.  Thank you Lyndon for putting forth your best effort and to the 1st grade teachers!  I also owe my coworkers a huge thank you for watching my students while I attended Lyndon's activities!

More Baseball

As you can see we have had a lot of baseball going on in our lives.  I have tried to snap pictures of each game, but have forgot my camera a few times.  Lyndon plays his last game tomorrow night and it is against Carter & Grant's team-the only team they haven't beaten.  I liked it better in t-ball when they didn't keep score! :-)

The New Tank

Cody decided to cover our old tank that wouldn't hold water and instead dig a new tank closer to the house.  He wants to eventually build a dock and would like to see it from the backyard.  I was quite surprised to come home to this one day.You can definitely see it from the back porch.

Lyndon's 1st MACHINE Pitch Game

Lyndon had his 1st Machine Pitch baseball game several weeks ago.  Lyndon was very eager to get to the game and was ready at 5:00 for a 7:30 game!  I kept him content by taking his pictures.This is the 1st year Lyndon's shirts haven't been sponsored by The Tractor Shop.  Since Gary is helping coach we guess it's okay! :-)  It is okay because The Tractor Shop sponsored Carter and Grant's team.  I thought the wheat field gave it the 'Field of Dreams' look.  Cody loves that movie.Lyndon is on the left of the light pole.Lyndon did wonderful and hit both times at bat!I am a nervous wreck hoping that he makes it to each and every base.  When I see that he is safe I am relieved.Yeah, a run!Lyndon had a blast at his 1st game and did a wonderful job!  Machine pitch is MUCH different than coach pitch in SO many ways...
