The Fort

Over MLK weekend Lyndon & Carl designed and began constructing a fort at Momma & Daddy's.  They dug 4 three foot holes all by themselves and then had Cody put the corner post up for them.

They are making their walls out of pallets and left over materials they have gathered.

They borrowed Cody's drill (yikes!) and bought their own screws at the local lumber yard.
They had a wonderful time and Lyndon was exhausted.  They already have plans about the next time Carl is in.
Nothing is more fun to a child than playing with cousins....I can remember lots of fun times growing up. Too bad Lyndon doesn't get to see his cousins more often....

Pep Rally & Trains

Lyndon was recognized in the 3rd Six Weeks Academic Pep Rally for his UIL participation, A Honor Roll, and Perfect Attendance.

I was unable to get a good picture of him-it's kind of a 'Where's Lyndon Game'!

Last Friday I took Lyndon and a friend to the Santa's Express Train Show.  I can remember Momma taking us growing up so it was neat to see it again.

The boys really enjoyed it!

Our Toned Down Christmas Decor

We toned down our Christmas decorations this year due to time, a bathroom reno, & spending our Christmas out of town.  We didn't put up a tree in the master or the dining room.  We also didn't put a 'REAL' tree in the living room, but instead used the dining tree in the living room.

We love Christmas Cards!  They truly are a gift.

Our new ornaments-I remember playing with a view finder as a child!

Bought this on our snow skiing vacation.

A gift from my grandmother.

After Christmas sale last year.

Lyndon's collection is growing....I hope his wife loves this collection someday..... :-)!

Lyndon's new tree.

I have acquired too many decorations and plan to sort them next year as well as reorganize them.  Less wasn't less, but was more!
