Lake & 6 Flags

A week ago we headed to PK for the day.  We had a great time visiting and floating with friends inside Hell's Gate.  Lyndon floating with his orange soda.
On Sunday night Lyndon spent the night at Blaine's house.  This was Lyndon's 1st sleepover besides grandparents and cousins.  I worried all night, but he did great!
On Monday Lyndon and I headed to Six Flags.

Wet from standing on the bridge at Aqua Man.

Lyndon rode this balloon ride alone because he wanted to spin the cart which was making me sick.

Enjoying the train.

My personal driver on the old cars.

Lyndon won a cape!

We tried the Judge Royce Scream again this year, but Lyndon still doesn't like the big roller coasters so we had fun with the milder rides.

Lyndon decided he was too small for this truck so he sat in the back instead.

As we were leaving a grandfather and two  kids about 9-12 years old bungy jumped ( or whatever it's called when you hang with your belly face down and are pulled stories behind you before being released to swing.)  Lyndon couldn't believe they would do that.  It made my heart drop when they were released I can't imagine what it felt like to them.  I think I would have a heart-attack!

We had a lot of fun, but couldn't WAIT to get home for a SHOWER!!!!!

Lyndon CAN Water ski!!!!!!

We spent our weekend at the lake and Lyndon and Carl tubbed the days away!  Due to the lack of rain and extreme heat I made them wear nose clips which they didn't enjoy the first time, but they quickly became accustomed to wearing them.

We tried to teach the boys to water ski and they both did GREAT!  I was in the water on a tutorial raft to help them.  Lyndon skied 3 times for about 100 yards each time.

This picture is out of order, but we went to visit PaPa on Sunday after church.  It was great to see him.

Lyndon wanted to try to do everything himself from putting his skis on, getting the rope, and pulling himself up, but the wind didn't cooperate.  He was determined to continue trying but we knew due to the wind it would just make him frustrated, so we will try next time.

@ the LaKe with CaRl & AuBrEy

Carl & Aubrey went with us to the lake a few times this summer.  We always had a blast together. We always tell the kiddos to hold their hand up if they fall of the tube.  Not sure why Aubrey has her hand up while swimming-such a cutie!Aubrey will only ride the tube with Tante Audra.Trying to sink the tube is Lyndon and Carl's favorite thing to do lately..................& Cheese Puffs are Aubrey's.

PK in the Rain

The weekend B4-last Cody, Lyndon, & I did some chores around the house and then headed to PK for the afternoon.  We have never just gone down for the day without spending the night so it was a new adventure trying to find Possum Hollow.
Lyndon's favorite is 'Hell's Gate' so that was the 1st place we headed for.  We like to go through to the back where it is a little less populated and anchor to visit and swim.We were enjoying our afternoon when suddenly the wind began to get up and a huge cloud came rolling in.  We hurried to get back into the boat and tried to head back towards Possom Hollow; however, once we made it out of Hell's Gate torrential rains, and strong winds came.  I felt like we were in an ocean storm with the waves so rough.  Cody soon had zero visibility so he turned around where he could see better.  He was able to get us back into Hell's Gate where the water was calm and the wind wasn't able to get to us.  Luckily there wasn't any lightning!  Once the rain stopped, of course we were soaked-towels and all!  We decided to navigate back to Possom Hollow just incase the weather changed again.  We swam a little more before loading the boat and eating super.  Lyndon wanted to tryout wearing his life jacket and Cody's.You can see Cody pondering the weather and what he should do.  He always puts his hand up to his lips when he is nervous or in deep thought.Possom Hollow was very nice and we ate a really good restaurant right at the loading ramp-didn't catch the name of it.  Cody had cajun frog legs, Lyndon had a corn dog, and I had catfish.  We were all still soaked and asked to eat outside even though it was humid and cloudy because the AC was WAY 2 COLD inside!!!!!  We will definitely be coming back for the day.
Once we were back in Seymour this is what the sky looked like-kinda yucky looking, but no weather fell...
